Past Projects

Twinbrook Metroplace

In December 2010, Starr Capital teamed with Northwestern Mutual and the Albemarle Group to develop over one million square feet at Twinbrook Metroplace in the city of Rockville, Maryland. The 6.75 acre site was acquired by Northwestern Mutual and Twinbrook Partners, a joint venture of Starr Capital and Albemarle. Currently occupied with a 99,000 square foot shopping center, the property was zoned for Transit Oriented Development and a mix of residential, commercial and retail uses. The location at Rockville’s Twinbrook Metro Station offers outstanding demographics for residential and retail development.

In April 2012, the partnership achieved Site Plan Approval for 1.15 million sq. ft. of mixed use development including significant infrastructure improvements.

In February 2014, the property and all entitlements were sold through a competitive marketing process to the B.F. Saul Company.
